It likely is primarily about regime change and oil, but I suspect that to some degree it is also about drugs.

It's just that the goal there isn't ending narcotics trafficking, but taking it over.

That's why the CIA is there, and that's why Trump pardoned Hernandez - they're each supplying their expert assistance.

And of course, it's also a distraction from Epstein.

They might establish a drug trafficking regime like they did in Afghanistan but the existing narco-state angle is like Saddam's WMDs. Drug trafficking in Venezuela is miniscule compared to Columbia and Ecuador. Its just bullshit Trump fabricated because he can't label Maduro as an Islamist.
