Not Mastodon's boosting. 😬

Communities stay healthy as there's interaction, and as I remembered this community exists (thank Reddit's RSS) was checking and the last post was mine back in late 2023.

I'll keep an eye for Vita news to share here, but could something else be done to try to give traction to the community? Maybe link it elsewhere, call others to post here, etc.?

Also, if that's not viable, given the near complete compatibility to the PSP's functions, maybe it could be expanded to something like "Sony handhelds"? Maybe minus PocketStation and the discount-WiiU controller for the PS5. Or even including those, dunno how relevant they are or how much they'd stray the community.

the mod is sorta passive, didn’t think much about Lemmy nor used the account in a year (or more), but ever since I‘ve made this place I had it followed on mastodon so I can pay attention when not on here - if there was spam I would notice and remove it, not that there’s been anything much going on (rip the mirror community on kbin.cafe btw, not sure what happened to the site but doesnt look like it exists anymore)

I neither actively follow what’s happening in the vita hacking community since then, most news were from reddit and that‘s another place I haven‘t really looked at like back then so…

it‘s not like I can change the name so Vita Hacks must be the main thing, but I really don‘t mind if people post about PSP stuff on here since Vita can run it anyway. heck, if someone posted about 3DS I‘d let it slide, been playing on it a bit lately

also thanks for posting you all

(originally posted on masto but didn't seem to want to federate to BC)

I don't use Lemmy actively, but I've seen cases of federation elsewhere taking some minutes to happen, usually in the first communication. Maybe that was the case? "<.<

About following stuff, might I suggest RSS? Been finding it specially useful for following updates from pages whose UX is miserable, or I don't have an account, or thanks to my reader's in-built macros, if I need to open stuff en masse (context, le me has some 4k feeds).

And Reddit's one, at least through Old Reddit, that has RSS. Dunno where else nowadays one might find news from. Maybe from Rinnegatamante's socials? Though dunno where he is nowadays. Also not familiar with any blogs that may be around (but blogs usually have RSS so something to keep an eye for). Also maybe following tags on Twitter (they still allow it?)/Nitter (if possible), Mastodon and Bluesky (dunno how to do it there accountless).
