  2. It's not user friendly in the slightest
  3. It focuses on speed over security.

Sounds like a philosophical answer to a technical question. What distro, what desktop environment are we talking about? What were you unable to do, what was impractical? Surely a terrible OS has more to show than three vague bullet points...

Mac OS is literally Unix, not a clone, is it better or worse than Linux in that regard?
