A place for optimism, relentless positivity, anti-doomerism, and snuggle sessions.

We're all in this together, and a better world is possible!

This is now also a space for organizing tips for our collective survival as we confront climate change and everything else. Still no doom-posting. We're here to work together, support each other, and boldly face the future.

Rules:

  1. Familiarize yourself with the site-wide Code of Conduct

  2. No doom, no gloom, only bloom. There's plenty of room for doomerism elsewhere. This community is solely for having a positive outlook on the future and spreading good vibes.

  3. Be kind to your fellow users. This also means no arguing in the comm. Arguments and negativity are not conducive to blooming. Constructive discussion is good. No interest-policing. Support your comrades in their joy!

  4. Always share good news. We can't exactly enforce this one, but if you have good news, please share it with us! Keeping happiness and positivity to yourself is the twelfth type of liberalism.

I think this Renee Good thing has sincerely broken my wife's brother's brain. He was never a Trump supporter, but not really political, either, kind of a vague lib. But after this, he's been sending meme after meme and clip after clip to my wife talking about how much ICE and cops suck and stuff, each one getting increasingly rage filled.

Anyone else got any fun examples of seeing your lib, or even chud, friends, family, or coworkers getting increasingly radicalized? (In a good way, this is /c/bloomer)

I understand that this is US spesific probably, but I've seen so much of it in the last year or two that it makes me a bit bloomer (although things are grim and getting worse).

Most of my family has shifted left, although they still firmly stay inside elected politicians, but they are all now going to vote for what is the nato left. These people were Greens, socdems at best before. It's also ok to talk shit about the EU, capitalism and nato to them more and more.

Everyone hates the current government. I do not know a single person who is happy with the way things are going. Looking at comments online you see the natohawks, libs and warmongerers but in the real world it looks very different. Tbf I am in a bubble of sorts with my work being in civil service and studies in social sciences, but still.

People are pissed and drawing conclusions.

I should've specified it in the original post it doesn't have to be the US specifically, because I'm actually really curious if capitalism's increasing contradictions is having an effect on libs and chuds from other parts of the world, too.
