Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

It is not the people not wanting EVs or conversions of gas powered automobiles to Solar Powered Automobiles, it is The Govs. ignorant interference, especially ‘The Crazy Don’.

The other problem is not just having EVs, but what provides the Electricity they arepowered on. Nuclear Energy providing the Electricity is still not good enough. That is why The Govs. should be making available EVs be only the ones that have solar panels build into the skins of the EVs. Just as The USA is so far behind the times in not setting a extremely close date where also (see previous sentence) gas powered & hybrid automobiles are not sold in The USA!

The ‘Global Warming’ & the rest of environmental issues are a danger to All Living Earth & All Living Beings & it is not going wait for our species to make even more sick profits, for The Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners!

Most EVs are not efficient enough to warrant installing solar panels on them. They have higher drag coefficients and high weight. The best thing to do would be to clean up the power infrastructure with solar and nuclear.

Have you seen how it is done? Aptera & the other companies? Not a problem, at all.

Yeah I've seen it. The Aptera makes good use of solar by coupling it with an efficient body and drive train.

Solar may make sense for some vehicles and not much for others. More innovation is certainly needed in the Solar EV space.
