Does the machine have internet access? If yes you should be able to have it set time from the internet automatically.
I second this. If you can deal with those microconnections to an NTP server, search for how to enable NTP. On a systemd Linux system it should be a
timedatectloption, I think.Done and in the process it even fixed the hardware clock.
