So, I read an interview with Rick Wakeman from 2018 in the Daily Mail (My haven, Rick Wakeman) that he has a substantial collection of fountain pens: around 600 of them.

But doing a bit more research, I came across the above in a 1990 fan club newsletter.

He is mostly retired these days. He sold some of his older equipment some years back (like one of the B3's he used in the '70s)... Apparently he recently had surgery and is at home recovering. Also, he's doing a podcast now chatting about random stuff from throughout his whole career.

This whole thing started last night because I was curious if anyone knew if George Gershwin used a fountain pen... Apparently it's not known for George, but apparently there is a fountain pen that belonged to Ira in the collection at the Library of Congress. (Oh, and there is a picture of Ira with a fountain pen -- and it's not a Montblanc.)

While I was digging around for information about Ira, I found Rick's name in a list... So I searched some more and found the Daily Mail article, and the item I quoted from the Fan Club newsletter.

And then I find out that I am wrong... He's going to be in the US On Tour With Oliver Wakeman this year...
