the majority of US citizens voted against Trump.

False. But it was close.

Trump - 77,303,568 - 49.81%
Harris - 75,019,230 - 48.34%

From the outside I was pretty sure that a lot of these "votes" came from electronic voting machines. Chances are Kamala Harris would have won a fair election. But that point is moot in hindsight.
