Trump’s first year back in the White House closed with the U.S. national debt roughly $2.25 trillion higher than when he retook the oath of office, showing how fast Washington’s red ink is piling up even amid DOGE hype and promises to pay it down. Over the calendar year 2025, the growth in the national debt was even higher, some $2.29 trillion.

Republicans always get a blank check. You never run out of money in a Republican administration. To quote Dick Cheney:

"Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

The only people who give a shit about government spending are liberals. And they only ever seem to see their significance as entitlement overspending. We'll balance our war debts on the back of Medicare and Social Security, just like we did under Obama in 2013.

The Heritage Foundation, the ones who wrote Project 2025, weaponized the issue with government spending against Biden during his whole administration.
