Yes and so what, toxicity exists in any community you goof, I don't know what your point is. That paying for stuff is bad, or asking to be paid for your work is bad, or wanting money is bad.
You lack empathy towards people who make mods, what if it's their only source of income, what if they spend a lot of time making the mod as good as possible so you will want to pay for it. Jesus Christ you're some kind of idealist there's no grayzone everything is the extreme with you
If they want an income source they should find a job.
Sometimes are sacred, and the community sandbox should never become a sales floor.
