Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

Fun Fact: The playing style of the saranghi was used to reconstruct the playing style of the "suka biłgorajska", the polish fiddle - both are played by stopping the strings with the skin above your fingernails. There were no preserved original instruments and living players, all that existed was a watercolor sketch of the instrument.

Wow looking at her fingers and that instrument looks awful to play! Sounds lovely but I can see why people would stop playing it
Probably also the reason why the poles literally named it "bitch".
