Some Rules

Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Question about Android malware (sh.itjust.works)

So I just discovered that SmartTube had malware in it (yay) and so I reset my Chromecast I had it set up on.

What is weird though is that when I reset it now it disconnects from the WiFi all the time like seriously every 10 mins or so AND the Mullvad app was showing up back on it but the thing is I didn't reinstall it.

Is it possible this malware wasn't wiped from the factory reset? Or am I just paranoid?

I prefer my devices without any malware at all but you do you I guess.

So no YouTube official app? You sound like someone who will go by anything a private company claims but hey you do you mate. In the name of your safety and security, please pay for YouTube premium while we gather fuck load of your browsing history and create a profile of you. But hey its for your safety and security.
