You need one of these, ikt. Dr Ned is not a man and the surname "Bible" likely means that one of her ancestors liked to drink (imbibe) booze - nothing to do with religion.
Would you dismiss her so flippantly if the article had said she was from Australian Marine Conservation Society?
I wouldn't say I dismissed her, read most of the article, seems serious don't have much to say, Darwin would already be uninhabitable for me, 30 degrees in winter is ridiculous so yeah I think NT should prepare for even hotter days but that's not worth really saying so just noticed the funny name analogy
I think you're doing a fair bit of jumping to conclusions there yourself, pointing out a good bit of nominative determinism can be just amusing rather than necessarily being ill intentioned.
If she had a different name and was described as Dr Orca from the Marine Conservation Society that would also be amusing and a comment regarding that could just be that rather than a jab at her.
