I can imagine some people will have very normal reactions to this
I am very anti systemd in my preference but at this point the majority has spoken and systemd won and I just have to capitulate.
Yeah I mean I'm not exactly a fan either, but it's not the end of the world. systemd can be a bit of a mess, but at least it's better than what we had before, and things like dependency resolution, service monitoring and shit like that are genuinely useful.
OpenRC is of course a thing, but systemd seems to have won this particular war for now so 🤷 I don't ultimately care all that much about this war.
Some people however seem to base their entire personality around hating systemd, and it's honestly hilarious
