If there was some way to filter American stuff on Lemmy you wouldn't have see my opinion.
You live there, I don't. Do you know how annoying it is to constantly, non stop, read what Americans did, like, want, fuck, vote, kill, shit, etc, etc all the time?
Like this community is cool. Lots of interesting submissions. If I block the whole community I won't see it. And then block everything.
I don't share your country obsession with Nazis. You may be surprised that most of the world doesn't. Most of the world is not Europe and the US. What is sacred to you is meaningless to me, but most of the world suffer from one common evil, the US.
So how do you think I see this post? All the other 9000 times I just ignored. This time I voiced my opinion.
The user you replied to is on a German server, it's very unlikely that they're from the US or live there. Who is doing US-defaultism now?
As a general rule, Lemmy is not nearly as USian as Reddit, if you always assume that a user is USian until they say otherwise in the thread or their server has an obviously non-US URL ending you're going to be wrong a lot.
