Bsky gets a constant stream of bot-created scam accounts posing as Gazans soliciting donations for food, medicine, shelter etc. Sometimes as many as a dozen created within seconds, all pointing to the same donation-platform URL, with only minimal variations of usernames or post content, sometimes with donation URL obscured using short-link services.

Just like with email spam, scammers and filters are locked in an endless adaptation race. It is almost inevitable that some genuine accounts will trigger false positives when demographics or keywords overlap the flood of scam/spam content.

The situation is also very vulnerable to manipulation by the forces perpetrating Palestinian genocide. Israel's cyberwarfare goons certainly have the means to manipulate, poison and jam Bsky's Palestine-adjacent topic space, effectively co-opting and weaponizing Bsky's own filters against genuine critics of the Palestinian genocide.

P.S. fuck Xitter too lol

So there's no actual pro-Palestine content on Bsky, only scam begging bots.

Meanwhile on Xitter at least you can see actual content of the genocide.

no actual pro-Palestine content

Not what I said, and twisting nuanced issues into black-and-white absolutes is a classic bad-faith propaganda tactic.

No that's what the post says.
