Explanation: In the USA in 2006, then-Vice President Dick Cheney, a Republican, shot an acquaintance while hunting quail, by later reports because he disregarded basic gun safety standards.

Said acquaintance apologized to Cheney for the inconvenience. Cheney has never apologized for the incident.

Yet another bizarre incident from a bizarre and immoral administration.
