"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

Maybe someone here could help me please, but as an artist I would like to live up to my word and make art that's more mentally stimulating and productively engaging. Instead of drawing something like Dragon maids. Does anyone have a clue on how I can better share it around?
As far as I understand I can't really do word of mouth, since that's basically advertisement and I'm more or less a walking brand competing with other artists. Am I supposed to sort of game the system and bait people into taking notice? Like I could befriend people and use nepotism to get them to engage with my work and then people will see I get interactions and they'll assume that since I get interactions I must be good. I feel kind of bad doing that tho' I can't tell if I'm actually doing a good job or I'm just gaming the system. At the same time if i approach strangers and ask them for an unbiased opinion they see a walking billboard or the might just assume I'm bad since I get few interactions.
Or is this pointless? Do I just abandon my ambitions and focus on gaining wealth through producing whatever the systems asks of me, which then would allow, in theory, allow me to take the funds and put them in the deprogram f.ex
Am I not just perpetuating the same system that created me?
I'm sure everyone anticipates me to be just some grifter, but if that's the case let me dispel doubts. I'll live under 24/7 surveillance if that lets me dispel any doubts and I'm not asking for anyone to reciprocate. I have nothing to hide or lose. The only reason I stay confidential is to by abide by the rules of this place.
Anyways this episode was quite interesting imo. I'm just not entirely sure what I'm supposed to do.
