You cannot simply keep ignoring the years prior, that only shifts the Overton window to the right.
Appeals to imagination don't work on moderates. You're being unrealistic - always either alarmist or perfectionist.
That's a false dilemma. And it accuses voters of things they haven't ignored.
Get an administration that CAN improve and make them improve. External pressure is wasted on something that can't evolve.

Biden campaigned in 2020 on, "I am the forced left-wing candidate, but vote for me now and move me later". The campaign worked the first time. Didn't work the second time for some reason.
