So I got an upcoming 7 day vacation and I plan to fix my sleep schedule till then (I really try) . And I wanna paint some miniatures again. Nothing wild but I got some Orks that need paint. Not even part of some army projects. Just some minis I wanna paint.

I have probably painted over 50 minis througout my life and I do think I have improved through it , but I never made a concentrated effort to improve. I wanna try and start painting daily. 7 days feels like a good start especially since none of those models are important. Just test models and leftovers - so I can try different techniques and stuff.

Wish me luck. Painting minis is like one of the few things I wish I was better at. Im ok at being mid at most things.

This thread was written in great hurry since im at work . scuse any errors

I get great results from the "slap chop" method. My best advice as someone who has hung out painting countless armies with some GW folks who had infinite mini collections is don't cheap out on brushes and if you aren't trying to enter a Golden Demon contest then get some really good paint like SoFlat by Golden paints and learn to mix/thin your own colors. The paints aren't exactly cheap at the outset but you get so much more for your money than GW's tiny overpriced "official" paint jars. Also I really like the "bubble popper" silicone stim toys as paint mixing wells.
