On one hand, yes, not everything is a distraction from the Epstein files.
On the other hand, governments don't act in accordance with their interests, they act in the accordance with the interests of the decision-makers. And currently, one of the chief decision-makers, who has bound every moron stupid enough to side with him irreversibly to his cult, may feel legitimately threatened by his child rape files being leaked. And the timing is, uh, 'curious', shall we say? I don't find it a leap to think that the timing of this attack with Israel came about because Trump was more pliant, by current circumstances, to starting another idiotic crisis.
The idea that Trump is gambling on his base being less upset about trillions in graft and hundreds-of-thousands of unnecessary deaths than child rape is... not illegitimate, unfortunately.
And if I was going to doubt it, I would doubt it on the grounds that I don't think MAGA would actually care if there was video evidence of him raping their children and taunting them about it.
On the other hand, it just as easily could be that Trump has the attention span of a particularly spoiled child, like how he fucking kidnapped the president of Venezuela, and then forgot about all the Big Stuff he was going to do there; and then threatened Cuba; and now is invading Iran.
