Detentions at several London schools will be cancelled amid fears children are being encouraged to fight rival pupils on social media.

The Metropolitan Police remains on alert for a second week over an outbreak of “school wars” sweeping the capital.

Posts circulating on TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram called on youngsters as young as 11 to “be violent” and arm themselves with compasses, metal combs, scissors, rulers and weapons including kitchen knives and fireworks.

There's no mention there of things like cancelling detentions, that make no sense and make the original article seem dubious.
