Women only trans inclusive This is an inclusive community for all things women. Whether you're here for make up tips, feminism or just friendly chit chat, we've got you covered.

Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.
  5. New accounts or users with few comments may have their posts removed to prevent spam and bad-faith participation.

Curious to know if there are other women who have chosen to not shave!

Why did you decide to forgo the razor and how do you feel about it now?

I’ve always been a bit anti-establishment and don’t ascribe to many society held standards for women. But I still shaved most of my body hair from the time I was a teenager until a couple of years ago. The journey through deciding to not shave and then going out into the world hairy really surprised me - I felt a freedom that I wasn’t expecting to feel so relieving. Empowering.

So I’m curious - what’s your shaving or not shaving journey?

I used permanent laser hair removal for some areas, but the downstairs department is natural. :)

I keep my downstairs natural too. I figure if someone is down there they really shouldn't give a fuck and most importantly, I don't want to style or strip my vagina. Don't like it

It's SO MUCH work to shave a vagina!

My ex husband used to insist that I shave everything below my eyebrows.

It’s been so refreshing to find that most people (men and women) do not give a single fuck if I have a bush!

that sounds nightmarish, a man telling me to shave would definitely make me want to not shave

I shave a lot (legs, armpits, etc.) but bush is important to me, lol

I’m very happy to call him an ex-husband now :)

good for you, so many women don't ever get free from shitty, abusive husbands - you're amazing 👏
