⚫️🔴 Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP):

Battle of Existence and Dignity

Oh companions and citizens, oh sons of our proud people, oh free people of this land..

The battle today with our enemy is not just a fleeting war, and it is not just an ordinary round of fighting. It is the great battle of existence, it is the decisive moment in our nation's history: either we be free masters on our land, or they want us to be crushed once and for all and erased from the map of time.

Oh free people..

Your enemy does not target a party, a sect, or a region, but targets your existence as a living nation. It seeks to displace you, to break your will, and to make your land violated. Therefore, the response today is not only with bullets on the front, but with unity and solidarity in every neighborhood and street.

Embracing the displaced is a bullet in the chest of the enemy; every house that opens its doors to our displaced people is a front-line trench. And every morsel you share with your brothers is ammunition that strengthens the resolve of the fighters.

The enemy bets on your division, on your despair, and on your distress. Disappoint their assumption! Prove to them that we are one body; if a member in the South, the Bekaa, or the Dahiyeh suffers, the rest of the nation rises for it with vigil, shelter, and support.

This is your chance for history. Your grandchildren will not ask you tomorrow what you said, but they will ask what you did when existence was threatened. Were you the support? Were you the embrace? Were you the invincible popular resistance?

Oh our youth.. oh our people.. oh free people, arise to contribute. Take the initiative to open homes, to organize aid, to secure medicine and food. Do not wait for anyone, for each of you today is a leader in your field.

The steadfastness of our people in the displacement centers is what protects your own homes from falling. Embracing them is an act of existence, it is a declaration to the whole world: We are a nation that does not die, we are a people that refuses annihilation, and we are remaining here like our mountains.. free forever!

Victory is ours.. and glory to the nation! Long live Syria.

May I take the chance to ask what the stance on the SSNP is here on the 'grad? I admit I lack knowledge about them (all I know is they're against israel), liberal sources don't paint them in a good light at all (calling it a fascist, anti-communist party, with photos of nazi salutes for proof and so on) but I can't really find much else. Could anyone enlighten me? /geniune-question I'll gladly move this somewhere else if this thread isn't the right place to ask

I'm not as educated as I could be but from what I do know about them, they aren't fascists or explicitly anticommunists, at least not the Syrian branch (which I've heard is more progressive than the Lebanese branch). They basically call for a united Levant, undoing the division of Al-Shaam (Greater Syria) between Palestine, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.

Here's there website if you wanna read more:

Hopefully this Works

I scoured their website a bit and their principles are somewhat worrying, at a first glance for sure (Will ook into a part they mention "mental superiority over neighbouring nations" especially), but I'll deepen my research. I admit my knowledge on the history of the Arab states is very very lacking. Thanks again for the source comrade!

They're definitely not favorite group from the national progressive front in Syria, that would obviously go to the Communists party (Bakdash). Also this might be the Lebanese website, again the two parties though sharing a name are quite a bit different.

Thanks comrade! I hope translators will work on the text. I'll look into it

Good question, but I'm unfortunately not familiar with them. I was simply inspired by their statement and felt it needed to be shared.

For what it's worth, wikifedcia calls them an ally of the Lebanese Communist party so I'm not sure if claims of them being anti-communist are accurate. They also call them allies of Hezbollah.

Thanks for the response. It seems they have collaborated with Hezbollah and the Lebanese Communist Party in the past (wikipedia, ashamedly) indeed. What's wikifedcia? This is my first time hearing about it

Edit: I may have just realised you meant Wikipedia, that is a hilarious name

[–] o_d@lemmygrad.ml 8 points 10 hours ago

Just a joke name for Wikipedia 😂

Was this the SSNP of Lebanon or the SSNP of Syria? I'd be surprised if the latter is still making public statements.
