Other than a steering wheel, I would put a vr headset as critical for a racing Sim setup. I can't go back to screens after that level of immersion. Its so insane being able to stick your head out of the window while you're drifting. I'd take a quest 2 over the most expensive screens you can buy.

Edit: also flying sims, especially dog fighting. You have to really be able to look around and vr makes that possible. Before that you would have to build one of those bubbles with a projector and it would look so shit.
