With previous Rexit's like the API debarcle etc. many users were left looking for an alternative, but with decision fatigue and bad UX etc. most did not find the Fediverse a viable option.

What needs to still improve, how can we be ready this time?

I’m working on expanding PieFed support as quickly as possible. The main things I’m missing are creation of poll posts and creation of event posts. You’re already able to view polls and events in the app. PieFed doesn’t yet have a way to pull the list of your subscribed feeds, but that will be added very soon.

If anyone wants to make a good argument for why X feature should be prioritized ahead of Rexit, I’m happy to reprioritize my work accordingly.

FANTASTIC! 3rd party app support itself seems to be a huge priority for the majority of people, so you are doing a great service helping catch up to these recently-added and very nice new features added to PieFed. Thank you for supporting the Threadiverse! :-)
