I've been seeing a lot of people hate and uninstall Brave. Why? It's not like they're tracking us or doing anything else shady. If so, what's the privacy alternative?

I didn't opt in and I never used the BAT wallet.

Sample size of one, but when I used Brave without enabling Brave Rewards, I didn't get ads. The Brave Rewards page also seems to suggest it is supposed to be opt-in.
