I don't get it. Every politician says something to that effect. The problems begin when their approach to achieving that goal is revealed.
Doctors:patients ratio!? Surely with the pesky Soviets out the way the top spot went straight to the USA? What? That's Cuba? And more than ten ex-Soviet states including the Russian Federation, plus the DPRK still score better than the USA? Damn those communists know how to make and leave a legacy. Looks like they take Stalin's insight seriously, unlike western politicians.
Yes, but those doctors were FORCED to care for the patients and were ARTIFICIALLY COERCED instead of being naturally motivated by the free market to help people. Nevermind that modern doctors and especially nurses are constantly overworked and understaffed and the only thing that decides whether or not they can help somebody are the whims of private insurance companies.
