Personally it’s just because I reeeeeeeally don’t want to use Reddit’s mobile app, and I still would like to see notifications for content that isn’t usually conducive to open discussion, like r/gamedeals for example.
On another note, how do I subscribe to any of these from kbin? I tried !(subredditname)@lemmit.online but it doesn’t seem to recognize the address when I search for it :(
I see you're on kbin as well. For lemmy communities that nobody has joined yet, you would typically search for them on kbin by typing in @{community}@{lemmy instance} in the regular search bar and the community would be one of the results. However, for some reason it doesn't seem to work with lemmit. It just returns a blank search result which is unusual because if search did not find anything, it the content would just say "Empty." I wonder what's going on.
