Can I log in to any instance with one account? (self.asklemmy)

I have registered an account on SDF's Lemmy server. Can I use this account to log in to other servers, or do I need a separate account for each server?

You need a separate account for each server, but most content can be accessed from any server, so, it'd be kind of pointless to make separate accounts
