Hey guys. After discussing with our lovely sysadmin @tedvdb@feddit.nl earlier, I thought it's time we gathered to discuss our little community here. feddit.nl has been through some tough times, but it's still up and strong! Let's look into helping it solidify even more.

How have you been liking Lemmy so far? Would you like it if feddit.nl offered different interfaces like Photon and Voyager? Isn't the trending communities bot really cool? ;)

Please feel free to let us know what we can do to help this instance thrive, and maybe tell us a little about your day, heh heh heh.

And of course, creating content, as well as sharing with others you know, goes a long way!

I kinda hate the web interface to be honest, but I don't know what can be done about it?

It's missing a good consistent UX, where every little piece seems to be designed in a vacuum and has it's own quirks.

The bug where the back button shows a different page till you refresh is really annoying.

And not opening external links in a new tab is also not cool. Usually it's fine if there are links and they don't open in a new tab, that way the user can decide if it needs to open in a new tab and it keeps tab count lower. But from a UX point of view it's terrible in this case, because sometimes clicking simply opens the post and sometimes it opens an external site. Always opening in a new tab is annoying, cause the posts can be opened in the same tab just fine. Opening external links in the same tab is also annoying. IMHO this behavior should be changed where external links are always opened in a new tab. I've seen a couple of posts about this in the past.

Were the unfed issues ever resolved?

I just created an account on kbin.social, which is pretty nice, and then subscribed here. Works well enough.
