Google Maps will soon start to prioritise safer, quieter roads when giving cycling instructions for journeys within London -- thanks to an information sharing partnership with Transport for London (TfL).

Hopefully this means Google maps is also improving its routing for bicycle routes, as it has a number of issues routing on bike routes in the Netherlands.

Yeah, it's close to useless in my city, in stark contrast to the quality of its driving directions. It loves to ignore quiet roads too send me to chaotic large busy intersections without bike lanes.
