I only accept One Piece criticism from people who watched a thousand episodes and then determined it was dogshit. I have a PhD in why one piece is bad, source is I watched up until some point in wano
I stuck with it through Arabasta because my wife assured me it gets better. I really started to like it around Marineford. Then came the dredge that is Wano. I had made it past episode 1,000 and just couldn't do it anymore. Oden has to be the worst character ever in anything.
Damn I had to press fwd a lot to get passed all the filler and flashbacks (even flashbacks from scenes you've seen 10 minutes ago) in Wano to get to the interesting story bits.
To me Oden was ok, his son Momonosuke imo was insufferable at times. Heh.
So much running. I'm guessing that it's because anime is more like an American soap opera in Japan? That's a guess though. The netflix show was fantastic though, I was pleasantly surprised. I thought it was going to be crap.
