Only works if you’re a cop tho
Actually, any defendant in criminal proceedings can refuse to show up to sentencing. Most just don't skip them, as you can plead with the judge for a lighter sentence or just say random shit you want without most trial rules applying.
Not true, same thing happened with Lucy Letby recently.
