Luisa Capetillo, born on this day in 1879, was a Puerto Rican labor organizer, feminist, and Christian anarchist. Capetillo advocated for women's suffrage, was arrested for wearing pants in public, and helped raise the minimum wage.
As a labor activist, Capetillo organized workers throughout the United States, worked as a reporter for the FLT (Federacion Libre de Trabajadores), and traveled throughout Puerto Rico, educating and organizing women. Her hometown, Arecibo, became the most unionized area of the country.
Capetillo is considered to be one of Puerto Rico's first suffragists. In 1908, during the FLT convention, Capetillo asked the union to approve a policy for women's suffrage, insisting that all women should have the same right to vote as men. Along with other labor activists, she also helped pass a minimum wage law in the Puerto Rican Legislature.
Today, Capetillo is perhaps best known for being arrested for wearing pants in public, although the charges against her were later dropped.
In 2014, the Legislative Assembly of Puerto Rico honored Capetillo, along with eleven other women, with plaques in the "La Plaza en Honor a la Mujer Puertorriqueña" (Plaza in Honor of Puerto Rican Women).

Most of rei's stuff is good. What are you looking to do? You need different gear for car camping than ultra-light through hiking.
Looking for some real well-made outdoor work pants, a decent bag, and a laser finder, it's boring work related shit, I thought Cabela's stuff looked decent but I was wondering if there were better options cause the nearest Cabela's is a long way away

Even the ones I use for landscaping have held up for years. Plus they put a little bit of spandex or something in some of their pants so they move really well.
For outdoor work pants I highly recommend ones with a gusseted crotch. It's basically the only way to have durable thick fabric and be comfortable kneeling for significant periods of time. Anything targeted at construction work - denim, cotton canvas, cordura-ish materials - will do a good job. Consider waxing those pants if you're in a wet environment. In terms of where to buy them, I recommend thrifting/yard sales first, then bulk/surplus stores, then AliExpress (check YouTube reviews for the specific items), then anything that's online at a step discount (e.g. Carhartt stuff is sometimes reasonably priced at 60% off), then an expensive outdoor company like Fjallraven or Patagonia.
It's very common that outdoor companies work closely with imperialist militaries (e.g. Patagonia) so consider this when looking into it. These companies are focused on "performance" and light weight in extended periods being outdoors and this overlaps a lot with military needs, so they design a lot of clothing with military contracts in mind.
