MODERATORS
I understand Dems couldn't trust McCarthy. But them nominating (and voting, was it?) a Dem who has no chance of becoming Speaker was just... irresponsible. And as a result of this kind of Dems' poor negotiation even with relatively moderate Republicans, the House elected this MAGAt.
(I think I read Dems called for Republicans to vote for their Dem candidate... If that's true then that's like an elementary school level incident in my eyes.)
No, they repeatedly mentioned moderate Republicans they'd be willing to nominate and repeatedly tried to get the "moderate" Republicans to work with them to nominate a republican.
The Republicans were the ones who didn't want to negotiate, not the Democrats.
I know Rs were worse. I know they are a BAD and EVIL. I still want Ds to do better.
