Imagine thinking Windows 10 is a punishment.
This tweet is so old that I remember seeing it on Windows 10's release
Imagine think it isn't...
I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't realize it yet.
Buddy, I've been using Windows 10 since its release in 2015. In spite of Windows' quirks, Microsoft's shittiness sometimes, and gasp having to pay for it, 10 is a fine operating system. I'm not nearly the kind of person who flops on the floor kicking and crying anytime a new piece of software or hardware is created. I loved the Wii U, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Windows 7 and 10, and I give Microsoft Edge the credit it's due for where it's pretty decent. I defend the flawed Windows Vista and 8 as important in-betweens on the path to better OS's. Windows 11 on the other hand... still kinda sucks. Because I try to be fair in all things.
Speaking of being fair in all things, Linux doesn't function as well as Windows and has many more problematic quirks-- some of them quite laughable-- and that's the truth. Android (which is not Linux) is also a mess, but at least it doesn't struggle with its hardware.
First, Android is Linux, it's just locked down. Install Termux to get a better look.
Second, what do you mean it doesn't function as well? There was an article I saw recently that tested performance of games on Windows and Linux, and Linux performed 12% faster I think. Somewhere around that number. Updating software is a hell of a lot easier too. There's so many features that are better. Then you also get to customize how it looks, which is nice. This is dependent on your DE, but there's tons of options, from nearly identical to whatever windows version you like to something totally new. It's up to you, not some company. Again, I don't know what you mean by "perform" so I don't know how to respond, but it likely does perform better, whatever your definition.
Linux literally doesn't work with your hardware half the time, that's what I mean "doesn't function as well". If you are going to argue that that is simply untrue, kindly reconsider under the assumption that you're not going to change any opinions. I had mainstream AMD and MSI hardware and literally couldn't get the sound working in Ubuntu. Ever. And that was just me. Have a good day.
Half the time? I doubt it. Every system I've installed Linux on its worked fine. Sure, sometimes it won't and that sucks. It's free though, with no promises. If it works then great. If it doesn't then nothing of value was lost. If it works, then it probably works better than Windows, and it works most of the time.
God most Linux fans are such liars. Same as most vegans, and also people who wear atheism on their sleeve
Lol. You think I'm lying? What about? That it's worked on every system I've tried or that it's free?
I love how you can assume someone else's personal experience is a lie just because it doesn't support your opinion. How ignorant of you.
It is well-documented to definitely not. But I don't need to argue with you further.
