"He was killed by a Hamas sniper" is probably "He got shot by a guy with an assault rifle but 'Hamas snipers' sounds more glorious than 'got domed without warning by someone he never saw because war is a terryfing nightmare where chaos rules and any idea of order, purpose, or progress is a lie told by historians long after the fact".
