People trying to help and making the situation worse does not help, at all. Putting soothing your own feelings above the pragmatic requirements to solve the situation does not help

This is why politicians are universally hated, but still required

Clutch your pearls harder, I’m not the original commenter and your “discussion” was just you throwing out thought terminating cliches to disregard what people are saying and to ignore the implications of your argument.

Own your position instead of complaining that I called it out with terse, judgmental language.

If you had tried to have a proper discussion, we would be having it. Instead you're name calling. I am perfectly aware of the tragic end result of that pragmatic argument.
