There’s a pretty stark difference between modern death metal and the classic stuff that came out of Tampa. While it’s all great, I love the older style. Are there any modern bands that produce that same type of old school death metal vibes that old morbid, obituary, death, etc were known for?

Some good suggestions in here by @SilentViking and @DoomAxe already, but I'm gonna throw in some lesser known personal favorites as well if you're feeling a little more thirsty:

Plague (Greece)
Obscene (US, Indiana) (esp. for that Obituary sound)
Molder (US, Illinois) (autopsy-esq)
Pathogen (Philippines)
Ectoplasma (Greece) (they mix a lot of styles though)
Savage Deity (Thailand) (esp. for morbid angel, a lil rougher production though)
Thulsa Doom (Italy) (esp. for morbid angel, possessed)

You can also check out legacy bands like Monstrosity who are still holding the flag high 😉
