That's dark souls art which is funny because in that game the gods lie to you so you put yourself into the meat grinder (first flame) to keep the gods (bourgeoisie) in power and delay the age of Men (proletariat)

huh... y'know, i always let the flame die in all 3 souls games i've played... and this was before i was even marxist lol

one question though, isn't "The Abyss" also what happens when you let the age of Men to usher in? since i thought Men are made of dark

Dark souls lore is vague, but both Manus and the Four Kings who caused the two abysses have lord souls so neither are really "Men" in the dark souls meaning of the word.
