That's correct. Such ceremonies should not be organized by government. If somebody feels the need to do religious/spiritual events, they should be organized privately.
Especially since he still can show his support by simply being a guest at such a ceremony.
Who said the french government organized the ceremony? He just let them use his house as a sign of tolerance in these difficult times
If that is true this is even worse. Its not ok to give religious/spiritual organizatios just government infrastructure for their cultural events. If this was decided by Macron himself instead of parliament then he should be resigned immediately.
