The Economist magazine has compiled a ranking of European countries that are currently the biggest facilitators of the Russian regime in Europe.

i find it a bit weird, to put Greece on the list for resisting sanctions, that severely affect the countries economy, while Hungary and Austria are straight up Muppets, enjoy the russian hand up their back.

It's due to it's shipping firms doing shady business with Russian oil, more than directly because of a direct action of the government.

The motivation might be different but the result is the same, facilitating the Russian regime financial moves.

Austria has actively worked together with russian intelligence, including to help the former wirecard CEO flee to Russia through Austria, after the whole scandal became public and investors were defrauded of billions. Western intelligence agencies stopped sharing any information with Austrian intelligence as that would end up in Russian hands.

That is a whole different level of facilitating the Russian regime than continueing to trade in non military goods.
