I recently spoke to the current community moderator, @kalahlora@sh.itjust.works. They have moved to a different account on another instance and are no longer active here. Would anyone like to take over as the new community mod? If so, please leave a comment in this post!

Alright, I switched to voyager and everything resolved. It seems to work fine now after they rolled out a bunch of updates. It needs some getting used to but I wasn't happy with jerboa anyway. It was less of a lemm.ee issue and more of devs not updating their fdroid release on time.

I decided to volunteer as a mod. I've never been one but I imagine it's not a full time job modding a community like this like you said. My timezone is UTC+2 (Helsinki, Kiyv, Riga, Sofia, Talinn, Vilnius).

Yay! Thank you! ❤ I think unless we decided to actively try and do something with the community that requires work, it's really once in a blue moon mods are needed here. The original owner was missing for like 5 months and we were just fine, after all! But it's good to know someone else is around if one of us is on holiday or sick or whatever, we don't have to worry.

When I took over knitting we talked about what rules and whatnot made sense there, most of that will probably apply here too (especially since it's a lot of the same people in both!) but I'll handle putting that to the community over the next few days because right now I have a stonking headache.

Ah I totally did an irl happy clap when I read your decision, haha 😄
