46.5% done. It's coming along nicely.

Progress continues slowly but surely!

Finally finished the middle third. Happy to reach that milestone. Hoping the rest goes a little quicker.

Hey guys!

Similar to my other post, I've created a small widget-style page for converting from one thread brand to another!

https://clickstitch.app/tools/thread-brand-converter

πŸ“… Up-to-date

I’ve written a script that will retrieve all threads listed on the brand websites to ensure new ones are available.

Currently a total of 1683 threads exist, split as:

  • DMC: 665
  • Anchor: 484
  • Madeira: 379
  • Kreinik: 155

But there are many more so these will come in the future!

🎯 Accuracy

All stored threads are compared, and the thread with the closest RGB value is chosen per brand.

πŸŽ‡ Modern

A search engine for threads, it will find the closest match to whatever thread brand/code/description you enter!

Hopefully it’s useful, what other brands would you like to see?

Any bugs or suggestions let me know! Best way is via Discord: https://clickstitch.app/discord

At least until I think of something else it needs anyway

Little house in the woods, who may live here πŸ€”

First time working on black fabric. Muscle memory makes it easier with time but black on black is a real pain in the ass :D

Hey guys!

As part of ClickStitch I've has to store threads from multiple brands and ended up creating this fun colour picker!

Find your colour using a colour picker, no need to go through hundreds of colours and codes manually!

I decided to take a short break from Dracula's Castle and make this cute little Shredder pattern! I added the caption myself, it's one of the best Shredder quotes I could think of lol

I finally have something a little more substantial to share, and I didn't want to flood anyone's feed every week, so here it is.

I wanted to do the banner just under "Begins" but I forgot that I couldn't source the colour at the time... So off to the shop I go!

I figure the best way to improve is more practice! Cheers, everyone! :)

I was rewatching the first season of The Last of Us, and noticed a cross stitch in the background of the Bill & Frank episode.

After some quick searching, I found that it was a poem by Thomas Osborne Davis. I loved the sentiment so I stitched it for myself.

I then got the pattern for the flowers from the book 'little book of cross stitch '

Not on sick leave anymore so I made a little less progress. But soon I'll be done.

Will get some new fabric on Friday so I'm already thinking about what'll be next 🀩

Dracula's Castle just keeps getting bigger lol

Really wanted to learn embroidery so I picked up several kits and I have now officially completed my first one! Hope you like! :)

Hi all!

I have another update for ClickStitch, a tracking and organization app for cross-stitching!

My initial idea was to add some form of digital needle minders, what came to be was Parked Threads! You can now place a "pin" on a stitch and add a label/specific thread to it.

Parked threads will be visible/hidden based on which thread is currently highlighted and can be turned off completely if you wish.

So far I'm loving adding quality of life features to aid in the cross-stitching process, if you have any ideas or feedback I'd love to here it!

There's also a Discord if you want to join!

As the tite states, just getting into this now as a way to avoid my phone in the evenings, I'm really enjoying it so far!

So I come from a 3d printing background and the whole idea of sharing is pretty prevalent there. It's kinda odd to me that there isn't a community based around sharing digitized art for embroidery. Or is there one and my old-ass just can't find it? Or are there enough other people here to share with? I'd love to start one by sending my Frank&Bride along.

22

Work in progress. It'll be a gas station style shirt with Frank on one brest and the Bride on the other. The final shirt is charcoal gray. I'm breaking needles and missing stitches but at least I'm going through a lot of thread too. Frank is in gray and purple (the Bride will be too) because those were our wedding colors. Yeah, we're that weird family that overdoes Halloween.

Hey gang. I just got a Brother machine and I was curious if that sort of thing was welcome here? Or if you all did it strictly analog?

This is my third embroidery project. Keeping consistently straight and even satin stitches is harder than I imagined it would be. Having printed the pattern on dark fabric hasn't helped either.
