Salutations from a complete novice. What's your recommendations to get started?

Note: A FLGS in town actually has a mini-painting workstation that you can use for $5/session, or as part of their monthly subscription for playing TTRPGs onsite. Since I play PF2E there several times a week I have that subscription. So I have a place to paint that's already kitted out with just about anything you could need for mini-painting. (I think they charge extra if you want to add stuff like grass, sand, etc. to the mini, but the primer, paints, sealers, etc. are all included.)

I have two awesome minis arriving soon that are unpainted, so I'm looking for online sites/videos that start from "I know nothing" and work up from there.

Thanks in advance for any and all guidance you can provide!

The current official models are downright embarrassing, so here's my take.

This is somebody elses' model that I rebased and gave an armor touch up too while I was there. Not a full strip and repaint, so some underlying issues like injection points still on the mini, but still overall I think he pops a lot more now.

Terrain for Deathship One (www.patreon.com)

So, I am a huge fan of indie wargaming, and a huge fan of Jospeh A. McCullough (Frostgrave, Stargrave, Rangers of Shadow Deep, Operation Last Train).

So, of course I went all in on making stuff for playing Deathship One recently released. I had seen version 1 in Blaster a while back, and loved the idea. Now that Blaster has changed, the older games are being re-released in single editions which I think is a great idea for accessibility to these great games.

This version has been updated, expanded, and more content added. So yeah, it's a highly recommend. It's basically running your minis through a spaceship built like the Cube.

This is a diorama I'm currently working on of a burning loyalist. The guy setting him on fire is going to be a word bearer. This will be my entry for my LGS's painting contest.

Link to the Imgur source. Sadly this is a very old picture and the user is no longer active, but this tank is just painted so wonderfully.
