ie things you'd think the gammons scaring themselves shitless about the concept would care about

When I order something online (as long as it isn't something huge like a grand piano), it gets delivered to a nearby corner shop or supermarket, either to be held by staff or placed into an automated locker that opens via code you get sent via text message

Very convenient and I don't need to worry about being home when the mailman's at my door and there's less need for delivery vans to drive to specific addresses

I was referring to reddit videos of delivery guys yeeting packages from the sidewalk to the front door, etc, filmed on Amazon panopticon devices

They might not have been UPS guys

Edit: I also don't believe this is some major issue, I just brought it up as an example of the sort of thing a paranoid suburbanite reactionary worries about that would actually be alleviated by living in a sensibly designed city

Wait until you see how things get thrown in the hubs.

Pretty sure it's in the fine print that anything shipped via UPS is subject to 10 foot drops between conveyor belts. Not to mention how the packages get stuffed into trucks as fast as humanly possible
