Come up with a very low cost power generator and open source the whole thing.
The kind that uses gas? I honestly wouldn't have thought someone would be interested in open-sourcing this. I would prefer if it designed an open-source Roomba or, while we're at it, a robot body so that it could perform more tasks. But you would still have to build it yourself.
Not gas, something more environmental for sure.
I heard disruptive science is slowing down which I think means pretty much everything possible has already been thought of. So talking about things that exist, do you mean a cheaper solar panel or wind/water turbine? Or are we talking about science fiction like an Arc Reactor?
I honestly have no idea, but if I had a super intelligent AI I would try. Maybe a more efficient and cheaper solar cell, maybe some sort of catalytic system?
You're assuming a human could do that on a computer, though. It's kind of hard to improve on that basic and very mature technology.
We’re talking super intelligence here.
I put more weight on the description text, but yes that was in the title.
Even if we assume it's a god, though, I'm not sure there's a way to improve on most kinds of generators more than incrementally. I don't expect it would improve on "the wheel" either.
I’m sure there are methods of generating electricity that we haven’t even stumbled on.
How would that work. Electrons are very well understood, as are the ways of getting them to move.
I think we're pretty far from the peak understanding of almost everything. There are so many discoveries still to be made.
Based on what? Sure, I'm guessing we're just starting with planetary science and cosmology, but power generation has been explored to death and we're still using the same basic alternator design as Tesla was.
