I admit it's a bad joke. The phrase "break wind" is an euphemism for farting and "wind breakers" imply that they are designed to do that instead of shield you from the wind.
It's self explanataroy.
Not for people who don't speak English as their first language. I had never heard of this use of "break wind" before
