I wouldn't say this is world news. It's barely even US national news tbh. It would be very appropriate in the midwest.social instance though if you haven't put it there.

That used to annoy the hell out of me on the old site. If people keep posting bullshit US crap I'm going to have to unsubscribe. Not a big loss for either side of that transaction.

I put it in world news because recent reports of other nations' movements from conservative to far right wing stupidity seems to be following America's path.

Just thought to put it here as a warning of what's to come.

Really? I used to follow /r/worldnews and my experience every time someone posted a US story, even if it seemed world relatable, it was quickly either taken down or downvoted to oblivion with people yelling that there was /r/usnews for that.

I found it a bit off putting, even if it was accurate most of the time.
